NOW Grayson is allergic to dairy, wheat, soy, peanut, & egg... our eating is so strict! This is ...We sincerely tried the moderation thing. This is how it goes for us. Grandma and Grandpa babysit and take the kids out to eat for fast food. The next day I have to go shopping, forget to pack lunch, and end up eating out. The next night the kids want hotdogs (turkey) and mac-n-cheese for dinner. The next night we go out for pizza. The next day Jeremy calls us and wants us to meet him for lunch, we all end up eating a plate of fried junk. The next night, Jeremy and I go out alone (with Savannah of course) for dinner..as a treat, and end up eating way too much, of all the wrong stuff. The next day, Sunday at church the kids are given CANDY as a snack for junior church. O...k....so moderation around here just doesn't work, even with the best intentions. I am going top put signs on my kids foreheads PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE CHILDREN! kidding. I do not even want to think of what they would be fed if they went off to school each day. I am venting again, sorry!!!!!Stacihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14720879744826691711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32532311.post-1158669392280221922006-09-19T05:36:00.000-07:002006-09-19T05:36:00.000-07:00I have 3 kids and allow them to have fast food onc...I have 3 kids and allow them to have fast food once a week or once every other week. In moderation, I don't have a problem with it. My kids stay active and are not allowed to be couch potatoes. My husband and I have plenty of fresh fruit in the house and offer that for a snack as much as possible. We also make sure our kids drink plenty of water. The key is moderation. None of my kids have weight problems. It's obvious the parents of these kids do not have their children's health and welfare as a priority. It's really sad that these parents are too lazy to make their children eat better. I guess that's what it all boils down to: laziness. It's a lot easier for parents to make a run to McDonalds than to fix a healthy meal at home.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32532311.post-1158635349922930932006-09-18T20:09:00.000-07:002006-09-18T20:09:00.000-07:00What a great post for someone who just blew her po...What a great post for someone who just blew her post-pregnancy diet over the weekend. I've been back on it full-throttle today but must stay motivated! You're right--it's tough in a society that is sooo not tuned to eating healthy!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04135190793124857820noreply@blogger.com
